Ocean Bird Foundation International (OBFI) – Online Course Agreement

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Verification
Courses offered by OBFI are CPD verified by the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (SAIOSH). This verification ensures that our training programs meet internationally recognized standards of professional development. Certificates issued upon successful completion of OBFI courses carry CPD points accredited by SAIOSH, reinforcing their value for career progression, professional recognition, and compliance with industry requirements.

1. Introduction

This Agreement (“Terms and Conditions”) governs participation in online courses offered bySafehands Healthcare International trading as  OBFI through www.oceanbirdaacademy.co.zw (oceanbirdaacademy.co.zw in Bing). By enrolling, the student (“Participant”) agrees to abide by these terms.


2. Enrollment & Access

  • Enrollment is confirmed upon payment and registration.
  • Access to course materials is granted via secure login credentials.
  • Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

3. Payment & Refunds

  • Course fees must be paid between the 1st and 5th day of each course month.
  • Late payments attract a 10% surcharge per month on the outstanding balance.
  • Refunds are available within 3 days of enrollment, provided less than 20% of the course has been accessed.
  • No refunds after certificate issuance or after 3 days.

4. Intellectual Property

  • All course content (videos, notes, assessments, certificates) is the property of OBFI.
  • Materials are for personal learning only and may not be copied, shared, or resold.

5. Student Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional conduct in all online interactions.
  • Complete assignments honestly; plagiarism or cheating may result in dismissal.
  • Respect deadlines and participation requirements.
  • Students are solely responsible for seeking industrial attachment and sourcing job placements. OBFI does not guarantee employment or placement opportunities.

6. OBFI Responsibilities

  • Provide access to advertised course content.
  • Offer reasonable technical support.
  • Issue certificates only upon successful completion of all requirements.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

  • OBFI collects and stores student data (name, email, progress) solely for academic and administrative purposes.
  • Data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • OBFI is not liable for technical failures beyond its control.
  • OBFI does not guarantee employment or professional advancement upon course completion.
  • Liability is limited to the amount of fees paid.

9. Termination

  • OBFI may suspend access for misconduct, non-payment, or breach of terms.
  • Students may withdraw, subject to refund rules.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration in Bulawayo before resorting to courts.


11. Acceptance

By enrolling in any course on www.oceanbirdaacademy.co.zw (oceanbirdaacademy.co.zw in Bing), the Participant acknowledges and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
