Module 1: Introduction to OBFI

Mission & Vision:

Understand the goals and objectives of OBFI.
Mission: To empower individuals through education, training, and community support.
Vision: To build a global network of professionals dedicated to personal growth and societal development.

History:

Learn about the foundation’s journey and milestones.
Foundation: Established in 2018 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe with the aim of empowering the community through humanitarian assistance, skills training, and advocacy.
Milestones:
- 2021: First Award.
- 2022-23: Second Award.
- 2024: Third Award.
- 2025: Established as an independent certification body.

Module 2: Ambassadorial Role & Responsibilities

Connect:

Engage with prospective and current students through events, webinars, and online platforms.
Attend and host events.
Participate in webinars.
Use social media platforms to connect and engage.

Contribute content such as blog posts, testimonials, and videos to showcase your experiences and achievements.
Write blog posts on personal experiences.
Record and share testimonial videos.
Highlight achievements and milestones.

Mentor:

Provide guidance and support to students, helping them navigate their career paths and achieve their goals.
One-on-one mentoring sessions.
Group workshops and seminars.
Regular check-ins and follow-ups.

Module 3: Effective Communication

Public Speaking:

Tips and techniques for speaking confidently in front of audiences.
Practice regularly.
Use visual aids effectively.
Engage with your audience through eye contact and body language.

Social Media Engagement:

Best practices for engaging with students and the community on social media platforms.
Consistent posting schedule.
Interactive content like polls and Q&A sessions.
Positive and professional online presence.

Content Creation:

How to create engaging blog posts, videos, and testimonials.
Use storytelling techniques.
Keep content concise and focused.
Utilize multimedia elements like images and videos.

Module 4: Professional Development

Networking Skills:

Event Planning:

Organizing and participating in events, both virtual and in-person.

OBFI Resources:

Peer Support:

Building a network of fellow Ambassadors for mutual support and collaboration.
Join Ambassador forums and groups.
Collaborate on projects and initiatives.
Share best practices and success stories.

Module 6: Legal Framework and Affiliate Organizations

Legal Framework:

Understanding the legal foundations that govern OBFI’s operations.
Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 20) Act, 2013:
- Freedom of Association (Section 71): Guarantees the right to form and operate as an independent entity.
- Declaration of Rights (Chapter 4): Aligns training and certification activities with fundamental rights and freedoms.
- Duty to Respect Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms (Section 44): Ensures transparency, fairness, and integrity in all processes.

Local and International Laws:

Overview of laws that OBFI adheres to.
Deeds Registries Act [Chapter 20:05]: Legal foundation for the registration of Trusts in Zimbabwe.
Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Act [Chapter 14:33]: Promotes economic empowerment for indigenous Zimbabweans.
2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (United Nations, 2015): Emphasizes strategies to improve health, education, and reduce inequality.

Accreditation:

Registration with CIPC: Complies with South African regulations.

Final Assessment:

Practical Exercise:

Create and present a short project or event plan.
Develop a detailed project/event proposal.
Present to OBFI trainers and peers.
Receive constructive feedback.

Feedback Session:

Receive constructive feedback from OBFI trainers and peers.
Participate in a feedback session.
Reflect on feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Certification:

Upon completion of the training, Ambassadors will receive a certificate of participation and an official roll number.
Certificate: Official recognition of your achievements.
Roll Number: Unique identifier as an OBFI Ambassador.
